A personal favorite. The damselflies, in addition to being very beautiful, are also often more approachable than the dragonflies, and thus easier to photograph.
Damselflies belong to the order Odonata, a group of insects also including the larger dragonflies. Unlike dragonflies, damselflies can fold up their wings.
